We Are...

We are women and men at North Georgia College & State University that are interested in discussing women's issues and in hosting events/speakers that increase awareness of these issues on campus.

*ANYONE is welcome to come to our meetings!

We discuss a variety of topics, including:

- Women in positions of power throughout the world
- Equality in the workplace
- Issues concerning employment
- Human trafficking and exploitation
- Violence against women
- Body image and eating disorders
- Reproductive health
- Current events involving women
- The portrayal of women in the media
- The portrayal of women in various religions
- Sexuality
- Any other issues involving women.

* This group will also serve as a safe space for anyone who wishes to discuss any personal issues relating to women's issues.

We encourage you to bring in any questions, discussion topics, news articles, media, and/or anything else that you have found and would enjoy sharing and discussing that focuses on women.

We have a bulletin board located in Dunlap on the Psychology/Sociology Hall, and we also have a Facebook page, so please check it out!
